  I really do not like to leave a bad review but this place was just bad all the way around! We were traveling from Decatur and looked up this restaurant and was really looking forward to a nice meal in an old time type surrounding. We arrived on a Friday about 1 or 115 pm. There was another table of customers. That was it! We ordered out fountain drinks, flat. They brought us another, flat! Then we ordered our appetizer, fried pickles. We were informed that "we are out of fried pickles". So we placed our lunch order. I ordered a cheeseburger, welldone. I said "so I'm guessing I can't get pickles on that, right?" "Oh no, we have pickles", says the waiter. I'm thinking to myself hmmm guess the fried pickles are not homemade then huh? After a very, very long wait (keep in mind there is one other small table of customers) our food comes out. My welldone buger is a piece of charcoal! Holy cow! This was bad. So they cooked the crap out of it and the fries weren't done. Is there anything that's going to come out of the kitchen that is decent? Here comes the owner I'm guessing. He wants to go around visiting with people like he is a big shot or something. I don't want to visit when the whole time I am looking at your feet and legs. He is wearing flip flop and has the hairiest legs I've ever seen! I've owned my own restaurant. I am a firm believer in the proper attire. Maybe other folks don't mind this but frankly, it was unappealing for this man to come out of the kitchen. They then bring around something free that is supposed to be for us and the other table to try. Some kind of cilantro dip and chips. Chips were over cooked and hard. Dip was wayyyyyyyy too spicy. I am sure that the latter is a preference call, but it was loaded with what tasted like black pepper. Then the wife comes over to "visit". I am not local, I definitely won't be back, please leave me alone. They have tons of people walking around in what appears to be a uniform, but doesn't appear they know anything. I asked for a dish of mustard and the young lady (i am assuming a relation to the owner) and she was dumbfounded by this request. You know that yellow substance that people sometimes put on their burger, you know the stuff that I ordered with my burger but didn't come with it. I assumed this girl was a relative because most the time she sat with her head on her arms slumped over at the hostess table as if she were sick most of the time! Who else would they allow to behave this way in front of their customers? The young waiter was very nice and I felt so sorry for him. I tried to be a nice as possible about the drinks. I never said anything about the food. The dinner rolls were good and the decor was nice. $35 dollars later, we left. Will never be back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPPING SOMEWHERE ELSE. These people are more worried about visiting with customers than the quality of their food!!

  The staff is nice enough. Food is decent. Prices are a little high. Wait time is absolutely terrible. Every time we've gone we've spent over an hour waiting to get our cold food, which usually isn't cooked correctly. Rest rooms are usually out of service.

  Had lunch today while passing through Nocona....very good service and the chicken salad was amazing!! My daughter had the chicken tenders....mmmm, so good too! Definitely a 5 star experience!
